Chaps 5 - 5 Leamington Brakes.
A good start to the season for the boys in there first ever game together as a team & in the first 15 minutes it looked as if they've played together for years. Reece Dixon opened the scoring with a good goal & Harvey Grant made it 2-0 shortly after. With some good work from new signing Harrison Jewitt on the left getting some good crosses in & Owen Gorman on the right the hard work paid off for Owen as he tucked in from the right wing & found himself on goal to finish well to make it 3-0. Harvey then made it 4-0 with a good strike inside the box. The defence was looking solid at this point with Harry Whitehouse & Dafydd Roberts doing a great job at the back which showed with keeper McCauley Dalton only touching the ball once in the first 15 minutes. The lads were pushing for a 5th goal when Leamington attacked on the break to score to make it 4-1. The game at that point changed & Brakes scored 2 more before the break to make it 4-3 at HALF TIME.
2nd half started just how the first half finished with brakes on the attack again & it was'nt long before they equalized to make it 4-4 & complete a good comeback. They then took the lead after one of there players were brought down just inside the area & McCauley was very unlucky not to keep out the resulting penalty after diving the right way & getting a hand to it. But with 10 minutes to go Chaps started playing like they did in the first 15 minutes of the 1st half with alot of pressure on the Brakes goal. All that pressure paid off 5 minutes from the end when after some good work in midfield when Harrison crossed the ball to Reece who then passed to Harvey to score his 3rd & Chaps 5th to make it 5-5. With seconds to go Chaps nearly took all 3 points when Harvey was fouled just outside the box, & his resulting freekick smashed the topright corner of the goal & then cleared by the Brakes defence.
Overall a great start to the season.............WELL DONE LADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pinley 2 - 1 Chaps
Chaps came up against a strong pinley said who were after there 2nd win in 2 games & started well with a goal in the 1st minute. They added a 2nd with 10 minuites gone. It was a fairly even game after they took a 2 goal lead with chances at both ends.
In the second half it was even until Harvey with 5 minutes to go hit a volley with the left foot, a goodcross from Reace & the shot went towards the roof of the goal,
the keeper got a hand to it but it bounced over the line. It was a hard fought battle from all the boys & some good performance's especially from man of the match Dafydd Roberts in Defence.
20-09-09 Southam 0 - 8 Chaps We thought this would be tricky game as we only had 6 players with defender Dafydd Roberts away on holiday. We decided to play Owen in defence with Harry & pull Harvey into right midfield with Reace in the middle & Harrison on the left. The game started in positive fashion when Harvey intercepting a pass from one of there defenders & found himself one on one with the keeper who then side footed the ball into the bottom corner to make it 0-1. A second goal was scored soon after with a carbon copy of the first goal for Harvey to make it 0-2. With 5 minutes to go before half time Harrison made it 0-3 when he received a pass from Harvey & slotted the ball passed the keeper to complete a good move. The nerves started to settle as the whistle blew to end the half. Halftime 0-3. In the second half, it was not long before Chaps made it 0-4 when Harvey swung in a corner & Harry hit the ball on the volley into the top corner of the net to get his first goal of the season. Chaps made it 0-5 after good work from Reace who was having another solid performance in the middle delivered an inch perfect pass to Harvey who then slotted the ball home. Harvey then scored his 4th & 5th goals to make it 0-7. The best was definitely left till last when Harry collect the ball inside our penalty box & went on an amazing run the length of the pitch taking on several players to score possibly an early contender for goal of the season & make the final score 0-8. The boys played superb from start to finish with McCauley not having to do much in goal & Owen playing out of position in defence, he looked as though he had played there for years. Harry who’s 2nd goal possibly amazed himself as well as all the spectators and then the midfield who ran there socks off. Harrison was again superb on the left & Reace who is getting better with each game. The parents vote for man of the match was Harvey for his 5 goals but everyone who played got my MOM. WELL DONE LADS!!!!!!
