Fantastic start to our season on Sunday 19th Sept, after the first 2 games of the season were called off due to club registration issues, we got our compaign off to a flying start with a 6 - 5 win against Peugeot Citroen, early runners at the top of the table. We started brightly and took a one nil lead through Taylor Murray, only for Peugeot to equalise, each side was awarded a penalty in the first half, with Chapelfields missing theirs and Peugeot scoring to make it 2-1, Peugeot scored again in the first half, taking a 3-1 lead into half time. After halftime, Peugeot scored early on to make it 4-1, but a great fight back from Chaps saw Naz Ismael score his hat-trick on his debut, Malachi Balu scored on his debut to make it 5-4 to Chaps, Peugeot pulled one back to make it 5-5, but Luke Philips-Tully scored on his debut to make it 6-5 to Chaps, a fantastic game keep up the good work boys!!!!!!.

Another great game saw Chaps beat Coundon Cockerals 6-1, with Naz Ismael scoring his 2nd hat-trick in 2 games and Taylor Murray scoring a hat-trick as well, some great defensive play saw Aaron Whitehead come away with M.O.M, another great effort. Next game at home against Leamington Brakes.

Chaps were very lucky this week, at home to Leamington Brakes we squandered a 3-1 lead, with goals from Naz Ismael, Taylor Murray and an own goal we had the majority of the play and should have been 5 or 6 six up at half time, Leamington Brakes scored twice in the second half to make it 3-3 and were close to going 4-3 up, some great defending kept them at bay, in the closing minutes Shane Durrans scored with his head to make it 4-3 and Chaps just about clung on to make it 3 wins out of 3.

10/10/10

A hard fought game this week against a strong Whitley Team, saw Chaps win their 4th game in a row, Chaps took an early lead in the first half through Naz Ismael only for Whitley to get it back to 1-1 at half time, some fine goalkeeping from both sides kept the scores low, Chaps eventually taking the lead with Naz Ismael getting his second of the game, some poor defending from Chaps saw Luke Phillips-Tully save off the line to prevent a Whitley goal, but Whitley scored from the subsequent penalty making it 2-2 with 15 minutes to go, Chaps pushed hard and some brave goalkeeping from both sides looked like this was going to end in draw, but Naz Ismael popped up to secure his Hat-Trick (his 3rd in 4 games!) to give Chaps a well earned 3-2 win, keep going lads. Next game away to Rugby Town.

Another game we made difficult for ourselves away to Rugby Town Colts, we took the lead through centre half Aaron Whitehead and were on top, missing a number of chances, we made a mistake from a long throw which saw Rugby take it to 1-1 at half time, after half time Rugby took a 2-1 lead and we continued to miss chance after chance, finally with 12 mins to go Naz Ismael made in 2-2 and a draw was looking a good result, some fine defending and last ditch tackles from Kurranveer Bains kept it at 2-2, but with 1 min left Naz Ismael got his second of the match to snatch a 2-3 victory, this makes if 5 wins out of 5 and still top of the league. Next league game on 31st Oct away to PSA Peugeot Citroen, need to put our chances away for that game! Sunday 24th Oct Friendly home game against Christ The King.
